"Jazz wunderkind"
-The Boston Phoenix

"The young Stepner put a wealth of technique to new use, playing both jazz standards and terrifically transfigured takes on Nirvana's 'Territorial Pissings,' Radiohead’s 'Everything in Its Right Place,' and Pavement's 'Here.'"
-Will Spitz, The Boston Phoenix

"Man...he could just think of a beat and just play it...makes me wish I was doing that all these years instead of playing football."
